The Tata Group-owned carriers performed best in on-time performance for the month of August, with Air Asia (93%), Vistara (91%) and Air India (88%) taking the top three positions, measured against the top four. Indian metro airports viz. In July, Air India held the fourth spot after GoFirst, while AirAsia and Vistara were ranked first and second. The overall flight cancellation rate of scheduled domestic airlines for August was 0.84%, with more than 56% of the main reason for cancellations being business reasons. The two main subjects of passenger complaints were flight problems and refund problems.
