Etihad Airways has teamed up with Armani/Casa for a collection designed by Giorgio Armani.
From December 2022, products from the new Etihad and Armani/Casa collaboration, known as ‘The Constellation Collection’ and inspired by the stars, will debut on select aircraft from the UAE national carrier’s fleet.
The Constellation collection includes a new dining service that includes ceramics, glassware, cutlery and serving utensils, as well as premium textiles for an enhanced in-flight experience in business class cabins.
The dining service includes objects made of mixed materials and embossed patterns. The airline said the collection’s color palette “reflects the surroundings of Abu Dhabi; dark green inspired by local date palms, aquamarine representing the beauty of mangroves and slate symbolizing the modernity of Abu Dhabi’s iconic skyline.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the new collection. Etihad says the material used has reduced the device’s weight by up to 10 percent, resulting in lower fuel consumption and fewer emissions from its aircraft.
The range of premium textiles includes a matching pillowcase and duvet, which will be available to Business Class guests and will feature signature Armani/Casa designs.
Guests on longer flights can also take advantage of a new memory foam mattress that can be unfolded into a full flat bed in business class.
