Oman Air celebrates inaugural flight to Phuket

Oman Air, the national airline of Oman, has officially launched its much-anticipated route to Phuket, celebrating the first flight with a ceremony at its First and Business Class check-in counters at Muscat International Airport.

The airline has introduced four direct flights a week to the popular island resort, which boasts many of Thailand’s most famous and beautiful locations. Guests can enjoy their holiday from the moment they board, with Oman Air’s award-winning in-flight amenities, including in-flight entertainment, fine dining and comfort features, all designed to make every journey more comfortable, refreshing and hassle-free.

Aboudy Nasser, Commercial Director of Oman Air, said: “As part of our network expansion programme, our new flights will address the huge passenger demand between Muscat and Phuket, especially during the peak winter season. With nature, culture and plenty to do, Phuket is an ideal family destination and just five hours from Muscat, it offers a great escape. In the meantime, we remain attuned to the needs of our guests, connecting them with the destinations they want to go to and enhancing their travel experience.”

Oman Air Muscat/Phuket flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Tuesday flight departs Muscat at 09:40 and arrives in Phuket at 18:50. The Thursday flight departs from Muscat at 22:50 and arrives in Phuket at 08:00 on Sunday. The first flight on Saturday departs Muscat at 9:40am and arrives in Phuket at 6:50pm, while the second flight departs at 10:50pm and arrives on Sunday at 8:00am.
