A passenger on board a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Peshawar-Dubai flight caused a ruckus mid-flight when he suddenly started punching the seats, kicking the plane’s window and indulging in a brawl with the flight crew, ARY News reported citing sources.
The whole incident started when the passenger started indulging in a brawl with the crew during the flight and doing strange activities on the PIA flight PK-283, including damaging the window of the plane by kicking it forcefully as if trying to break it, reported ARY News.
The passenger also punched and kicked the seats before laying face down on the floor. He was often violent during the flight and later, when the flight attendants intervened in an attempt to contain the situation, he attacked them as well. To prevent any escalation of the situation, the passenger was strapped to the seat in accordance with the Aviation Act, the media reported citing sources. According to the protocols, the flight captain contacted the Dubai air traffic controller and sought security. After landing at Dubai airport, the passenger was detained by security officials. The incident took place on September 14 and according to PIA officials, the passenger was blacklisted by the airline.
