Udaipur-bound IndiGo flight 6E 6264 returned to the state capital on Thursday due to “engine vibrations” and the aircraft was grounded, PTI quoted a senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official as saying. The official said that the IndiGo flight from Delhi to Udaipur, operated by an A320 neo, performed a mid-air turn after vibrations occurred in engine 2. The aircraft landed safely and was grounded. The DGCA will conduct a detailed investigation into the incident, the civil aviation authority official added. Also, a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Guwahati returned to Guwahati airport due to a suspected bird strike after take-off on Sunday.
All passengers were accommodated on the next flight to Delhi and the aircraft was inspected. In another incident “IndiGo Airbus A320neo (VT-ITB) operating flight 6E 6394 from Guwahati-Delhi returned to Guwahati airport due to suspected bird strike after take-off. All passengers were accommodated on another flight to Delhi. The aircraft is grounded for necessary inspection, ” IndiGo said in a statement.
