World’s Best Airlines 2022: Qatar Airways wins ahead of Singapore Airlines, Emirates

Global airline rating organization Skytrax recently presented the World Airline Awards to outstanding carriers around the world. Qatar Airways has been crowned the world’s best airline for 2022. Voting for the ceremony, which is led by an international air travel rating organization, took place from September last year to August. It can be seen that the event is widely regarded as the aviation industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. Emirates was recognized in the top 10 best airlines in the world, but it was Qatar Airways that took the top spot.

Meanwhile, the Gulf carrier retained the airline of the year title after ousting Singapore Airlines from the top spot last year. Emirates was ranked third out of more than 350 airlines included in the survey results.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, was ranked 12th after climbing nine places to enter the world’s top 20 airlines. Here is Skytrax’s list of the world’s top 20 airlines in 2022

Emirates celebrated after being named the world’s best economy class airline, as well as winning awards for economy meals and inflight entertainment. Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, said: “Being named the world’s best airline was always a goal when Qatar Airways was created, but to win it for the seventh time and collect three more awards is testament to them all. the hard work of our incredible employees.”

Bahrain’s Gulf Air is the most improved airline, moving up from 44th last year to 22nd.
